We are pleased to announce that the Frontiers of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (FOMM) has attained its first impact factor for the 2024 citation year: 0.8 (Figure 1).

Frontiers of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (FOMM, Front Oral Maxillofac Med, ISSN 2664-777X) is an open access, peer-reviewed electronic journal. FOMM aims to serve as an international and professional platform for healthcare professionals to share their research, knowledge and experience. FOMM is the Official Publication of the Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. The journal is indexed and covered by Web of Science [Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)] and Scopus.

The release of the journal’s first impact factor is not only a significant achievement for the journal but also the recognition of its more significant scientific reach.
